Looking for a fun and active way for your child to spend the school holidays?
Worser Bay Boating Club’s Sailing Holiday Programme is the perfect introduction to sailing for children aged 8–14 years.
Our Yachting New Zealand qualified coaches provide a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment where kids can build confidence on the water, learn new skills, and make friends while having fun. No previous sailing experience is required.
Over the five days, kids learn the basics of sailing, boat handling, water safety, and teamwork, all while exploring the beautiful waters of Worser Bay and beyond. And its not all about sailing, kids also get involved in monitoring and protecting the marine environment around the bay.
Sessions run from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with a mix of on-water and land-based activities to make the most of every weather condition. Our holiday programme's run regardless of the weather.
At the end of the programme, participants can continue their sailing journey by getting involved with our Opti Squad on Saturday mornings. At the end of the Sailing Holiday Programme you will be given a 50% discount coupon for becoming a Junior Member of the club, which will give you access for the rest of the season to our opti squad coaching, provide you with an introduction to racing and will get you involved with the Worser Bay sailing community.
