Big season as the club celebrates turning 100

We’re excited to celebrate our 100th Birthday with a weekend full of special centenary functions as well as a year-long programme of regattas and events:

Friday, 30 January

• Evening - join us for a cocktail function to launch the commemorative book - “The Worser Way: A Century of Sailing at Worser Bay Boating Club 1926–2026”.
  

Saturday, 31 January

• Normal youth activities in the morning and club sailing in the afternoon. We have invited Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club to finish their keelboat race outside the WBBC clubrooms on that day. The day will end with liquid refreshments and a BBQ.
  

Sunday, 1 February

• The official 100th Anniversary Day! We are planning a semi-formal sit-down lunch at the clubhouse, with a guest speaker of two, and some contributions/memories from the floor.

• NZ Wing Foiling National Championship (Friday 13 to Sunday 15 March 2026)

• The Worser Bay Beach Carnival (Sunday 22 March 2026)

• Starling National Championship (8-12 April 2026)

• The WBBC Centenary Soirée (Date to be confirmed)
