About the Event
Back by popular demand and steeped in Worser Bay tradition, this race is your chance to prove to your juniors who the real sailor in the family is. We've got just 10 spots up for grabs, so don't hesitate - secure your place now!
Even if you're not a seasoned sailor yourself, this event is still for you. It's all about having a blast and celebrating the spirit of our club. Here is where you can sign yourself up (or another unsuspecting parent). Numbers are limited to 10.
And get this - we've got top-notch race commentators flying in just for the occasion. It's going to be epic, folks! Don't miss out on the excitement!
Indicative Schedule:
- 3:00 PM: Sailor briefing
- 3:00 PM: Your junior or the sailor you're representing will help rig up your boat
- 3:15 PM: Booted and suited on the beach ready
- 3:25 PM: Warning signal for Le Mans starting style (this might change)
- 4:15 PM (or thereabouts): Sailors might be finishing
- 5:00 PM: Results and bragging rights at the club
The timings might need to be fluid as the race will commence when the club racing has wrapped for the day.
Your supporters, whanau, and friends are most welcome in the club; the bar and kitchen will be open. The racing commentators will be warming up around 3:00 PM, they are also open to bribes.
