About the Event
The 2026 Predictwind New Zealand Wingfoiling National Championships will be held for the first time in Wellington — and for the first time at Worser Bay Boating Club, as the club celebrates its 100th year.
This milestone makes a fitting backdrop for the future of the sport, showcasing the new generation of foiling sailors in one of New Zealand’s most iconic sailing venues. Competitors can look forward to three days of fast-paced racing and world-class wingfoiling action in Wellington’s famous winds.
Hosted by Worser Bay Boating Club, this premier national event will bring together New Zealand’s top wingfoilers alongside international competitors to battle it out for national titles across multiple divisions. The racing area and schedule are designed to deliver dynamic, technical, and tactical racing on the water, with a true stadium viewing experience and an incredible community atmosphere ashore.

Wingfoil Open Gold
This fleet is for competitors with solid prior wingfoil racing experience, confidence racing in congested courses, the ability to consistently complete all manoeuvres (tacks, gybes, starts) safely under pressure, and certainty in their suitability for this fleet.

This fleet is suitable for intermediate or progressing riders who are not yet ready for Gold but are seeking competitive racing in a supportive environment.

Only open to competitors who will be aged 35 or older on 31 December of the event year.
