The Boat & Beach Wise Trust is a charitable trust, aligned to Worser Bay Boating Club, but with it's own governance board and operating structure.

​

The Trust's purpose is to advance education and benefit the community by working and assisting Worser Bay Boating Club to promote water safety awareness, to help people to develop sailing skills and to help youth become the best they can be through involvement in water-based sports and activities.

Here is what we do

Start Sailing programme

Once kids have completed a start sailing course we provide funding for a programme to get them into sailing regularly

Blue Fleet

And once they have bought their first boat we support them to start using it regularly

Start sailing as a child

We help fund the delivery of start sailing courses for kids in our area

We also help fund start sailing courses for 'grown up' kids who want to get into the sport

RŪNĀ helps ākonga learn from the past to steer toward a sustainable future

Ākonga helping to address climate change by designing technologies to harness the power of the wind

Ākonga understanding Aotearoa New Zealand's histories by researching and retelling local settlement stories

Ākonga monitor ocean health and get involved in looking after a NZL Blue Belt site that restores marine ecosystems

The Worser Bay Beach Carnival is our annual community fundraising event.

The 2024 Carnival was held on Sunday 7 April 2024, and the next will be in 2025. See you there!
